The South Yorkshire Key Skills Passport is a scheme to help young people between the age of 13 and 16, in Sheffield, Rotherham, Barnsley and Doncaster, to develop their key skill capability, and work towards the key skills qualifications.

It provides a framework to train teachers and to map, deliver, track and assess key skills using appropriate resources. The project is 50% supported by ESF (European Social Fund through Objective 1 in South Yorkshire).

Newsflash: The key skills project in South Yorkshire has now been successfully completed. Each South Yorkhire Education Department continues to develop work related learning projects. Contact each Council for further information.

The conference celebrating "Pathways to Success" in South Yorkshire on 6th and 7th July 2004 was a great success with 250 delegates attending each day. A special thanks to the pupils and teachers who took part.
